Album Review: 311 - 'Full Bloom'

It's hard to believe that 311 have been around for 34 years and continue to still make fresh music that is not only impactful, but just a great experience for listeners. With Full Bloom representing the band's 14th studio album that drops this Friday, we are here for it. We've always been fans of the band's heady mix of rock, elements of hip-hop, and reggae sounds. Full Bloom is the band's first full-length project since 2019. Additionally, their first single, "You're Gonna Get It" is their highest charting song in 13 years.

On the album, the band stated via press release: "We hope fans can take from this album 311’s message of positivity and unity. In today’s world it’s so easy to become alienated by the pressures of everyday life. Whether it’s social media, stress at work, an illness, the list goes on.” The band continued, “It’s so important to stay open with your loved ones and community so we can all thrive in full bloom”.

The sounds you can expect on Full Bloom are great rhythms and accompanying vocals and bars that exude positivity. The band has consistently put out music that meets this definition and they keep hitting the mark. There are several tracks that exemplify this including "Mountaintop", "You're Gonna Get It", and "Days Go By".

We're eager for this one to hit your playlists and do yourself a favor and get the album. You will surely have it on rotation for a while!
