As a part of The Used's 25th Anniversary Week, we thought we'd take a look back at when our Senior Contributor extraordinaire Nadia got to see the band in Columbus last year! See below for her review!

In 2024 The Used headlined their North American Tour with support from emo mainstays Story of the Year! We were able to catch the show in Columbus, OH on June, 28th at KEMBA Live! The setlist hit hard immediately as the band played "Pretty Handsome Awkward", one of our favorite singles from Lies for the Liars. They continued the set with several tracks from their self-titled debut including "Buried Myself Alive" and Maybe Memories".

They then began to jump around a bit on the set with songs from In Love and Death ("Take It Away") and MEDZ ("Fuck You"). The assortment of singles and diverse playlist gave everyone in the audience a little something they loved. Lead singer Bert McCracken kept the audience engaged throughout the show with his dynamic vocals and incredible stage presence.

The highlight of the night had to be the encore, which featured "On My Own", "I'm a Fake", and "A Box Full of Sharp Objects" which included a snippet to music icon Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which the crowd absolutely loved! Overall, The Used demonstrated why they have had saying power in the heavy alt scene since their debut in 2002 and left the crowd satisfied with their evening! 10/10 would recommend.
